Our Partners

How does CECA work with partners?

Partnership is integral to our work at CECA; we know that the best ideas, insights, and solutions are generated in community. Our partners are those who share our vision of and work toward a world where all people have what they need to attain their ideal level of sexual and reproductive health.

CECA collaborates with organizations that represent a broad range of settings and disciplines, and we lift up and build upon our partners’ work. Partners include: maternal and child health, primary care,  and reproductive health providers and professional organizations; state and local health departments; reproductive justice organizations; public health and health systems experts; federal and state policy experts; communities; researchers; and private sector leaders.

We engage partners as participants in listening sessions, technical expert panels, lived experience panels, workgroups, and summits; as members of the Contraceptive Access Steering Committee; and through ad hoc discussions and external coalition work.

What principles guide our collaboration?

At CECA, our work is guided by our mission, vision, and goals, all anchored in a commitment to advancing sexual and reproductive health equity (SRHE). CECA collaborates with a broad and diverse range of partners, facilitates impactful convenings, and centers equity in our work. As we continue to build on lessons learned and refine our processes, we have developed resources that highlight our approach to partnership and enable others to learn from our experiences and adapt our approach to meet their needs.

  • Guiding Principles for Effective Meetings

Drawing on our expertise as a neutral convener, this document outlines our approach to organizing internal and external meetings. The practices outlined here are designed to help plan and execute meetings that are productive, engaging, and align with objectives.

What is the Contraceptive Access Strategy Steering Committee?

Established by CECA in early 2024, the Contraceptive Access Strategy Steering Committee brings together diverse experts in reproductive health, rights, and justice. This collaborative body advises CECA on its work to foster strategic collaboration and alignment of efforts among those working to advance contraceptive access, including the dissemination, implementation, and ongoing evolution of the Contraceptive Access Strategy.

  • The Steering Committee guides this work by:

  • Ensuring that the Contraceptive Access Strategy project outputs remain relevant and meet the needs of the field.

  • Identifying opportunities to advance the Contraceptive Access Strategy, including collaborative projects, additional work products, and dissemination opportunities.

  • Grounding the Strategy work in sexual and reproductive health equity (SRHE) and modeling effective collaboration while advancing shared goals.

  • As needed, identifying new and diverse members to participate in Steering Committee activities.
