Susan Moskosky, MS, WHNP-BC

Advisory Board Member

Sue Moskosky recently retired from CECA where she served as a Senior Advisor. She has since joined the CECA Advisory Board to provide strategic advice to CECA primarily in the areas of clinical and programmatic guidelines. She also provides advice on federal programs, policies, and partnerships. 

Sue’s previous experience includes serving as the Deputy Director for the Office of Population Affairs (OPA), U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, where she advised the Secretary and Assistant Secretary for Health on a wide range of family planning, sexual and reproductive health issues. She was responsible for management and administration of the Title X Family Planning Program, as well as long-range planning; program service delivery and budget oversight; and policy development for OPA. Sue joined the Federal Government in 1991, initially serving dual roles in one of the 10 HHS regions as Regional Program Consultant (RPC) for Family Planning and Women's Health Coordinator. She joined OPA in 1995, and for more than 20 years, served as the Director of the Office of Family Planning. She has published extensively and was integral to the development of Providing Quality Family Planning Services: Recommendations of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the U.S. Office of Population Affairs, published as an MMWR in 2014.

Sue is a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner who began her career as a clinician providing family planning, prenatal, and other preventive health services and educating nurse practitioner students in Dallas, TX. She is the former Director of the Title X-funded Women’s Health Care Advanced Nurse Practitioner Program at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas, Texas.
